Voices For Health provides customers with the traditional translation process, but we have also been industry leaders in offering alternative solutions. We were chosen by the National Cancer Institute in 2002 to pioneer the “transcreation” process for their Spanish and Vietnamese breast cancer awareness materials. Our work to create and test easy-to-read documents for the NCI and NIDDK earned us numerous “Plain Language” awards from the US Department of Health and Human Services. Our project manager will help you to understand which process is best for your project.
- Standard Translation includes glossary development, editing and quality assurance review for all major software formats (MS Office Suite, InDesign, QuarkXpress, HTML/ASP, PageMaker, FreeHand, etc.).
- Adaptation includes additional steps, such as Plain Language Editing or reviews by lay individuals or topic experts, to create a more culturally relevant document.
- Transcreation utilizes original concept development and foreign language writing to create the most culturally and linguistically appropriate document.
- Back-translation, including rendering and quality assurance review, is available for research projects.
