I would like to let you know what great assistance [the interpreter was] during the recent office visit.  A significant language barrier such as exists between myself, my staff and [the patient] can make it almost impossible to provide appropriate medical care, but an individual with such excellent bilingual skills as [the interpreter's] can make it much more effective.
